Privacy notice · updated 17 October 2026
What this site knows about you.
Very little, and nothing it keeps. This page says exactly what happens to anything you send, in plain words, so you can check it.
What the site itself collects
Nothing. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel and no cookie set by this site. The pages are static files.
Three third parties are involved in showing you the page, and each sees the technical details of your request (your IP address, browser and the file asked for) in order to serve it, under its own privacy policy: Cloudflare, which hosts the site and provides Chromatic with aggregate traffic counts that do not identify anyone; Cloudflare’s cdnjs, which serves the animation library; and Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces. Chromatic does not receive personal data from any of them.
The proposal form
The form on the home page does not send anything to this site and stores nothing. When you press “Send the request” it composes an email in your own mail app, addressed to [email protected], containing what you typed (name, company, work email, website if given, what you need, timeline, budget range, how you heard of Chromatic, and your two descriptions). If your device has no mail app set up, the same text is shown for you to copy into any email. Until you send that email, nothing has left your device.
Who reads it and what it is used for
Sam Visser, the founder, and nobody else. Email arrives in Chromatic’s business mailbox, which is run on Microsoft 365, so Microsoft processes it as the mailbox provider. It is used to answer you and, if an engagement follows, to write the proposal. It is not shared, sold, added to a mailing list or used to train any model.
How long it is kept
If no engagement follows, your request and the reply are deleted from the mailbox within 24 months of the last message between us. If an engagement follows, the request becomes part of that engagement’s record and is kept for seven years, as Canadian business records are.
Your choices
Ask for a copy of what Chromatic holds about you, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing [email protected] from the address you used. Deletion is done and confirmed within 30 days, unless a record has to be kept by law, in which case you will be told which and why.
Where and under what law
Chromatic Ventures operates from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This notice follows Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act and Canada’s PIPEDA. If you are not satisfied with an answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
Changes
When the proposal form is connected to a backend, or anything else on this page changes, the date at the top changes with it and the previous wording is kept in Chromatic’s decision record.
