Accessibility · updated 17 October 2026
Built to WCAG 2.2 AA.
The site is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA. This page says what that means in practice, what has been checked, and what has not.
What is in place
- Semantic structure: one heading hierarchy, landmarks for header, navigation, main and footer, and a skip link to the content.
- Everything operable by keyboard, including the menu, the questions section and the proposal form, with visible focus.
- Text contrast at or above 4.5 : 1 on the dark surfaces, including the small grey captions (checked, see below).
- Motion is optional. Under the operating system’s reduce-motion setting every animation, the scrolling effects and the hero light field are switched off and the page is static.
- Decorative things — the light field, the cursor, the moving row of tags — are hidden from assistive technology.
- Form errors are written in text next to the field, the submit button stays off until the required fields are complete, and nothing is submitted silently.
What has not been done yet
- No screen-reader pass and no independent audit yet. What has been done: an automated check with axe-core (the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 A and AA rule sets) on every page, with motion on and with reduce-motion on, on 17 October 2026 — no violations. Automated checks find a share of problems, not all of them; a third-party review is planned before the full site launches.
- The pinned “how it works” section relies on scrolling to reveal its content. Under reduce-motion it is shown in full; with motion on, keyboard users can tab through it but the reveal is tied to scroll position.
